There are a lot of scams out there when it comes to sphynx and other high end exotic pets. Nocoatkitty is NOT affiliated with any other breeder or any other website besides www.nocoatkitty.com. There are 5 websites that I know of that literally copied our website text word for word so much that they didn’t even bother to remove my name from the testimonials. I have reported the websites many times and they are still not taken down. Be careful of ads claiming they are reselling one of our cats/kittens… WE HAVE A STRICT CONTRACT our buyers cannot resell our kittens, we actually buy them back.
It’s very important to do your research before purchasing a forever pet. Some of these scam websites look very real and yes a real person will even talk to you on the phone, that does not mean you will not be scammed.
ALSO: There are many brokers reselling kittens out of Miami and NYC. They are importing kittens from the UK and Russia for very cheap and bringing them in through JFK and MIA. A lot of times they have beautiful websites and facebook pages but the kittens are coming from mills. Some of the photos showing the conditions of these so called “catteries” overseas are gut wrenching. When you support things like this your supporting unethical breeding and keeping these people in business. Do your homework and research how your new kitten is being raised and where its being raised, and if the parents were heath tested.
